ThingMagic M7E UHF RAIN RFID Module Series has all the features you’ve come to expect with the M6e Module Series and more! Unique to the M7E Series, select modules are the smallest on the market but with higher performance read rates, allowing for more design and application flexibility. Featuring enhanced sensitivity, power utilization and faster read rates, these are the industry leading RFID modules for OEM, value added resellers and solution providers. While companies may be tempted to start at the chip level, using a module can offer benefits such as less development time and faster integration, ultimately improving time-to-market and overall costs.

Additional features of the ThingMagic M7E Series:

  • Comprehensive Global certificates
  • Universally used Mercury API used across all ThingMagic products
  • Low power consumption
  • Smallest form factor on the market
  • Increased read rate and rx sensitivity
  • Features Impinj Ex10 reader IC technology
  • Supports the RAIN® standard (GS1 UHF Gen2V2 and ISO/IEC 18000-63) and Impinj Gen2X
  • Compatible with the M6e Series of modules

Featuring Impinj Ex10 RAIN RFID reader chips, the modules have very low power consumption and are ideal for battery-operated, low cost, small form-factor portable readers. And their wide RF output range is critical in supporting read/write requirements for RFID-enabled printers and tag commissioning stations.

The M7E platform uses the same Mercury API as other JADAK ThingMagic products, allowing for easy software integration and customization based on form-fit-function SKUs. And the modules are flexible enough to allow OEMs to tailor a license that enables the features of interest in the field.

The series features five modules, each with unique read rates and power output options:

  • ThingMagic Pico (M7E-PICO): Wide RF output range 0 dBm to +24 dBm; reads up to 300 tags/second and measures 18 mm x 21 mm x 3 mm
  • ThingMagic Deka (M7E-DEKA): Wide RF output range 0 dBm to +27 dBm; reads up to 300/tags/second and measures 18 mm x 21 mm x 3 mm
  • ThingMagic Hecto (M7E-HECTO): Wide RF output range 0 dBm to +27 dBm; reads up to 300 tags/second and measures 22 mm x 26 mm x 3 mm
  • ThingMagic Mega (M7E-MEGA): Wide RF output range -10 dBm to +30 dBm, reads up to 600 tags/second and measures 46 mm x 26 mm x 4 mm
  • ThingMagic Tera (M7E-TERA): Wide RF output range +5 dBm to +31.5 dBm; reads up to 800 tags/second and measures 46 mm x 26 mm x 4 mm

Ideal Applications

  • Point of Sale Readers and Retail Checkout
  • Mobile Devices, including Handhelds, Printers and Sensor Networks
  • Kiosks and Vending Machines
  • Tag Commissioning Stations
  • People and Asset Tracking
  • Consumable Authentication
  • Drug and Inventory Management
