Do the ThingMagic readers support ISO18000-6C standards?
Answer: Yes, both our UHF modules and finish readers support the ISO18000-6C standard. At one point they changed their labeling and I8000-6C became 18000-63 covering Type C, etc.

Our datasheets will say “EPC Gen 2V2 ISO 18000-63, ISO 18000-6B (optional), IP-X (optional), AEI ATA (optional)
The best way to look at this is to say – Gen2 = RAIN = ISO 18000-6C = ISO 18000-63
Our core support is for 18000-6C (18000-63) We can support 18000-B (18000-62) with an optional license. We can also support 18000-6D (18000-64) with an optional license.
IP-X did not meet the basic requirement set out in ISO 18000, so 18000-6D is a combination of both IP-X and RAIN – the tag waits for the reader to start the RAIN protocol and if it hears nothing, it returns its ID using the IP-X protocol. Essentially the readers are allowed to be single-protocol, but the tags must be dual-protocol.
